The coating process of the sanitary wares decoration PVD vacuum coating system is delicate and efficient, ensuring that every sanitary wares can be covered with a gorgeous and tough coat.
The sanitary wares to be coated must undergo strict pretreatment, which includes removing surface oil, oxides and impurities to ensure the cleanliness and flatness of the substrate surface. This step is crucial to the subsequent coating quality because it is directly related to the bonding strength between the coating layer and the substrate. The substrate is then sent to a highly sealed vacuum chamber, which is quickly evacuated by a powerful vacuum pump to reduce the indoor air pressure to an extremely low level, eliminating the interference of air molecules in the coating process. This process creates a pure and interference-free environment for coating. In the vacuum chamber, the coating material is placed on an evaporation source or sputtering target. Depending on the selected PVD technology, the coating material is heated to the critical point of evaporation or sputtering and converted into gaseous atoms or ions. These atoms or ions diffuse freely in the vacuum and eventually deposit on the surface of the substrate to form a uniform and dense coating layer. During the coating process, the control system will monitor and adjust key parameters such as temperature, pressure, gas flow rate, etc. in real time to ensure the stability and consistency of the coating quality. Once the coating is completed, the substrate will naturally cool to room temperature in the vacuum chamber to avoid thermal stress caused by excessive temperature difference. The cooled sanitary ware will be taken out of the vacuum chamber for subsequent cleaning, inspection and packaging. At this point, a sanitary ware carefully decorated by the PVD vacuum coating system has completed its gorgeous transformation and is ready to meet the market's inspection and consumer's favor.
System Summary
Arc Discharge: An electric arc or arc discharge is an electrical breakdown of a gas that produces an ongoing electrical discharge. The current through a normally nonconductive medium such as air produces a plasma; the plasma may produce visible light. An arc discharge is characterized by a lower voltage than a glow discharge, and it relies on thermionic emission of electrons from the electrodes supporting the arc.
Multi-arc ion coatings can be deposited in a wide range of colors. The range of colors can be further enhanced by introducing reactive gases into the chamber during the deposition process. The widely used reactive gases for decorative coatings are nitrogen, oxygen, argon or acetylene. The decorative coatings are produced in a certain color range, depending on the metal-to-gas ratio in the coating and the structure of the coating. Both of these factors can be altered by changing the deposition parameters.
Prior to deposition, the parts are cleaned so the surface is free of dust or chemical impurities. Once the coating process has started, all the relevant process parameters are continuously monitored and controlled by an automatic computer control system.
